  • St. Michael Choristers will be allowed to wear a gold ribbon after 1 year of service in the St. Michael choir.

Level Guidelines
  • All entering and existing choristers in Grades 2-4 will begin in the St. Michael Choir. (5th Graders will be placed in either the St. Michael Choir or the St. Cecilia Choir for Grades 5-8. Placement will be determined by the Schola faculty.)
  • St. Michael Choristers will receive instruction music theory and ear-training, but at a slower pace than our St. Cecilia Choir Level I's. This will allow the younger ones to have their needs met, and the older Level I's to move at a faster pace in their class. At this level, music games will be included to introduce and reinforce music theory skills..
  • All final decisions as to which level a student is in will be made by the musical director.

Instructors
Dr. Eliana Ellis is the director of the St. Michael Choir and she will lead most of the rehearsals and Mass music for this choir. Other instructors on our faculty may work with the students as well.
