Rehearsals start at 3:45 pm for Gr. K-4 and at 4:00 pm for Grades 5-12. Once the instructor has begun the opening prayer, adults are requested to kindly stop all conversations or to continue their conversations outside the rehearsal room. The choir will learn a great deal in every rehearsal so it is essential that every minute be used wisely. In choirs such as ours, choristers must:
- Arrive in plenty of time to pick up music and get a pencil
- Use washrooms before rehearsal
- Be in place when rehearsal begins
- Stay through the entire rehearsal
- Refrain from chewing gum at rehearsals
- Have regular attendance and be energetically involved
- When available, help set up and break down the rehearsal rooms (Gr. 4-12)
Choristers are also expected to eat their snack quickly and to arrive promptly for their class after snack with all necessary materials. At the end of class, choristers are to return their folders to the shelf in an orderly manner.
