CHRISTMAS SOLOS
Auditions for the Christmas Eve solos will be on Tuesday, December 3 from 4:00-5:00pm in the parish hall at Corpus Christi.
There will be no assigned audition times. Plan to be at the audition for the entire hour. Mrs. Niemerg may try out some duets and trios. If you cannot make this time, please email Mrs. Niemerg to make other arrangements.
If your family will not be present on Christmas Eve, please do NOT let your child audition for a solo. Solos will be both during the pre-Mass concert and during Mass, so attendance for solos is required at both.
Primary consideration will be pitch, beauty of tone, and volume. Solos are available for:

BIBLE MUSICAL
Auditions for the principal roles will be held shortly after Christmas. The suggested date for auditions is Thursday, January 2. If anyone wishing to audition for a lead role has a conflict with that date, please contact Mrs. Niemerg.
No chorister has to audition to be in the musical. Everyone in the choir is assumed to be participating. The only auditions for the musical will be for choristers who are interested in one of the main roles. If a chorister prefers to be in the chorus of the musical and is not interested in a main role, then no audition is required.

auditions for choristers interested in a main role will be sometime in late
November or early December. Choristers may try out for any role they wish —
including cross-gender. (The Israelite army will have some girls in it. This
also includes the principals, such as the Commander, the Philistines, Daivd’s
brother, etc.)
The
primary consideration in casting will be whether the actor can be heard across
the auditorium without a microphone, both when speaking and singing.
There
will be assignments of many spoken lines, enough for every chorister to have
one or two (if they want them). Individual singing solos will be specified
in a future email.
